Good news for all of the washdc flickr group. A lot of folks are making sales at the El Tamarindo show. Given that, and the fact that we're getting some real world press, the show is being held over until August.

Trains, A Group Show

Trains, A Group Show
Originally uploaded by bodhi47.

A group I belong to on flickr decided to throw an homage to trains. The inestimable Catherine Jamieson threw down the challenge to put up your best train pics and then did a herculean job of incorporating it into her site. You should check it out.TRAINS: utata trains

Silly Tests

I like taking tests. I think I may be one of the few people in the world that thinks this is fun. I don't necessarily believe the results, I just enjoy the process and use the answers that I come up with to contemplate what I know about myself. Living in my head too much.

Small Woman+Big Bike=No Paper

Small Woman+Big Bike=No Paper

I've been remiss, very remiss, in posting here for quite some time. I actually post more to flickr than I do here, but sometimes it's nice to work things out with the written word. Like the loss of my bike. It's only a thing, but since it was stolen from me I've realized some things. Not only did they steal the physical bike, they stole a feeling from me. The feeling of being able to just hop on and ride. The feeling you get when you're cranked up and reading the line of curves ahead of you. The feeling you get when you hit a run smoothly. Smoothness, not just flat out speed or dumb juvenile stunts. Smoothness is when you and the bike are one thing, together. You think, it does. A more directed steed than a horse, nevertheless, something that you can feel in tune with and lose yourself in.

That's a lot to steal from one man.
